Please support the URHS and preserve the rich history of New Jersey's railroads and transportation heritage. Without your continuing support historical artifacts cannot be saved and the history they tell will be lost. A railroad & transportation heritage center will keep our history alive for generations to come.

State and federal funds pay for only a small percentage of the project. Those funds along with donations in both time and money from individuals, businesses and other organizations have made the prospects of a first rate railroad & transportation heritage center in the state of New Jersey possible. But we need your help more than ever! Here are several ways you can help this effort:

Donate money directly to the URHS. The URHS is a 501(c)(3) not for profit educational organization Tax ID 22-2867670.

Take a trip on one of our excursions. Browse this site often for upcoming events.
Donate your time to help run an event. Volunteers are always needed to assist passengers, ready the equipment, collect tickets and get the word out.

Hickory Creek Tail Signs Available

Additional funds are required to complete this famous car. The URHS will be selling duplicates of the 20th Century Limited cast aluminum tail signs. The price for each will be $5,000 with the revenue dedicated to the Hickory Creek maintenance. Each sign will be equipped with the proper lights to duplicate the aura of a lit tail sign as it appeared on the "Century".
