Boonton Yard will open its doors for the county-wide Pathways of History event! URHS will join 24 of Morris County’s smallest history organizations across 17 municipalities as they open their doors to highlight the depth and breadth of history found throughout the region. Celebrating its 16th year, the Pathways of History tour features Morris County’s all-volunteer history organizations, the fee-free museums they operate, one-of-a-kind collections they hold, and incredible stories they tell. Fun for the whole family!
Our facility in Boonton will be open for a no-frills open house, open to the public. Come see what our volunteers are working on, talk with historians, and explore select pieces of the collection open for tours. Admission for this event if FREE!
Parking is available on nearby streets and municipal lots with a short walk to our yard. Please note, there will not be a shuttle but as is the case with our Railroad Museum [for a day] event on September 28.
