During this once-a-year event, the URHS Restoration Facility in Boonton, NJ will become New Jersey's largest railroad museum. Railroad Museum [for a day] provides a rare and family-friendly opportunity to explore, admire, and go inside our historic trains and learn about their connection to the region we live in.

WEATHER UPDATE:
Our festival is still on for Sunday, September 27! While the weather looks less than ideal, we are preparing for a rainy day and making a few adjustments to welcome our visitors.
Live music and vendors will move inside our shop, and several locomotives and railroad cars will still be open for tours. Some visiting exhibits may be unable to attend because they cannot travel in the rain. Shuttle buses will continue running between the event and our satellite parking at the Upper Plane Street municipal parking lot. Scheduled shuttle service from Denville train station will also operate as planned. Unfortunately, the visiting Conrail theater boxcar and cabooses will not be attending due to a delay in transit. However, NJ TRANSIT’s spectacular red, white, and blue “America 250” locomotive, No. 4526, is already in place for its big appearance!
We will also honor our discounted online admission prices at the gate: $10 per adult and $5 per child ages 12 and younger.
If you cannot join us this Sunday, you’ll have another opportunity next weekend! Boonton Yard will be open October 3 and 4 for Pathways of History, Morris County’s free, self-guided tour of museums and historic sites. This simpler, two-day open house will offer the chance to explore much of URHS’s collection, inside and out.
